Sessions

Portrait session $350.00

1 ~ 2 People, 1 ~ 2 Hours

Head shots, couples, engagement, maternity... I come to you, or we meet somewhere else (within City limits) and we take some photos. I don't buy into the idea that an engagement or maternity or newborn session should cost any more than any other type of session. The time doesn't change and I give my best to capture the best moments, whatever those moments look like aesthetically is up to you. I arrive with my camera and the ability to put you at ease and take some great photos, the set up is on you if we're in your home. We can talk about it of course but I don't typically bring sets or props, with the exception of newborn sessions where I might bring a basket or something cutesy. Obviously an outdoor session provides less control and requires more flexibility with regards to location. I can't control the public despite my numerous attempts, so there may be strangers in your backgrounds or an extra level of patience to wait for a clear moment. I have my favourite spots that I know and love but am always open to going somewhere new with the expectation that you are familiar with the location and know where you want to be. Spending our time scouting is not a great use of your session time.In the event of inclement weather, I will always reschedule without penalty. I am also always down to take pictures in crazy weather, so if you want to get out and dance in the rain, I will be right there with you! I draw the line at temperatures below -15 however. The number of images you receive will be dependent on how smoothly the session runs and how much time I actually spend snapping. The more distractions (uncooperative pets, hungry babies, outfit changes, unexpected visitors) the less camera time, the less camera time the fewer images. Typically expect upwards of at least 20 images. If I love an image, you get the image. No restrictions or limits.

Family $425.00

1 ~ 2 Hours

Family is family. I don't think one family should be charged more because theirs is bigger than another, but there is definitely more to shooting a family session than a single or a couple. The biggest thing to remember is that more people require more wrangling or multiple takes, oftentimes resulting in more editing if I need to tweak and merge different captures. Family sessions can be organized and posed, or casual and candid (with some direction). We talk in detail about the mood you want to convey, and that is what I will provide. A dictator who has control over the lot and their positions, a quiet presence, casually shooting your life as it plays out in front of me, or somewhere in between.
